Down in the Basement

We are here to celebrate that which we are totally geeked for: Whatever it may be. There's a ton of things one could get geeked for in the world, and every subculture has its own identity. And here we are on the internet: a hothouse of people spreading the word for their particular thing. The internet was made for subcultures.

There are boards for comic books, or action figures, boards for cartoons and movies and fantasy sports, indie music and pro wrestling...all manner of things! And you love lots of these things, and deeply. So deeply that when a pretty girl (or guy-we are inclusive here) discovers the depths of your secret love, you want to just slink off and hide away in your mom's basement.

Well guess what: WE ARE YOUR MOM'S BASEMENT NOW. No judgment here (well, a little and only when it's wicked funny) for what you are into. Just a place to celebrate that which you love and share with others who either love the same things or know nothing about it.

We're going to bring you all manner of articles and columns on your favorite topics of Geek: comic books, movies, action figures, music, TV, sports, animation: the whole kit and freaking kaboodle. We know things. We are experts. We'll make it funny, we'll make it informative, we'll make it so that when you're bored at work or bored at home this will be your first stop. Chat in our messageboard with other folks, about whatever comes up be it topical or not at all. There may even be prizes.

So please. Come, and get down in the Basement.
