New gun barrel has a camera in it.
This is going to be interesting to see who complains about this, and how much accidental homicide starts to fall.

Here we honor the Dumbass for October. He's created a sound system that would have to be thrown out as soon as he conceives a child. That's only if his sperm can find the place they're suppose to hit. With a car that rattles this much, I don't know if it's possible.

For those that travel, of just like awesome ideas, Phillips has created a new window. It's almost a giant LCD screen that can allow as much light as you want or as little as well as create a screen of geo-metric and organic shapes with color hues and everything. As well a light source to help you combat jet lag.
I would love to get this for program in something for holloween. Better yet, something so I don't ever have to put up Christmas lights ever again.

Snipped from the Newsarama site, we have a little story about the possible end of the Ultimate Universe. Which would be a shame. Actually, it wouldn't be that bad of a change. The Ultimate Universe has been out for ages. I'd prefer the regular Marvel U to bite the dust, but getting rid of the Ultimate U isn't a bad idea either. The Ultimate Universe was suppose to be a reboot of the proper Marvel U. Showing remaking current properties and making them relevant to today.
It started with a bang and I can see it flopping like dead fish if the stories just started to mirror like the normal Marvel U.
Of course Jeph Loeb is writing "the end" of the Ultimate Universe. So it will sell gang busters, but don't expect to make much sense.
But the art will be pretty.

Wanted, based on Mark Millar and J.G. Jones's hit comic is coming to the screen March 28, 2008. Since March, or April depending how you look at, is a long ways off, Yahoo! Movies is debuting the trailer at 5:00 PM PST(8:00 PM on the other coast).
On the left side there is a link to the trailer. Click that. I'll update this as soon as the trailer comes out.
EDIT: Oh god that looks great.

ASU, the university in Phoenix, has developed a drive tech that would allow a thumb-drive to hold a terrabyte. It's a tenth the cost and 1,000 less on energy consumption.
To some of you out there, that doesn't mean a damn thing. Let me put into perspective. You can purchase a 2 gig thumb drive for about 20 dollars now, now a tenth of that is 2 dollars. The amount of energy it uses I can't even quantify for your brain, because I can't think of an analog.

Being evil has never tasted so good. At least that's what I'm telling myself right now as I look over the sample dishes from Axis of Evil Cookbook, a collection of recipes of local dishes of each of the designated "Evil" countries in the world.
The following links are a good sampling of foods from countries that we describe as evil. While I'm sure most people would agree, it's never really the country, just the dumbasses who run the place. That can be said about a lot of places.
These dishes are straight forward and seem really easy to cook. This weekend's dinner plans for my family seem to be in the bag with these different foods.

Apple has started to create a site with podcast and all that jazz for the iPhone and conceivable the iTouch. So now, it's possible that you, and by you I mean those incredible people that actually do like to create programs, have the ability to create apps for the iPhone/Touch.
It also has specs for developing web materials for the iPhone/Touch too.

The creator of the Sorpranos tells the world the hidden meaning behind the series finale.
NEW YORK — Just when we had made our peace with "The Sopranos" finale and moved on with our lives, David Chase has stirred things up again.Breaking his silence months after the HBO mob drama ended its run, he is offering a belated explanation for that blackout at the restaurant. He strongly suggests that, no, Tony Soprano didn't get whacked moments later as he munched onion rings with his family at Holsten's. And mostly Chase wonders why so many viewers got so worked up over the series' non-finish.

I'm on a role today this marks the eighth entry. And it's a good one. Straight from Radiomaru, Scott Pilgrim looks to be hitting the shops on November 7th. That's two weeks from today.
This makes me very happy as I've really enjoyed the last three volumes of this series with it's wonderful logic and humor. So in two weeks, we get more Pilgrim. As stated on Radiomaru, in celebration, there is a new wallpaper on the Scott Pilgrim site.

Wired did a wonderful article about Manga on the American scene and it's importance in Japan. Now those of you who are truly against manga, knowing what influence it has in Japanese culture is pretty amazing. There people read comic books. And by people I mean everyone reads comics. EVERYONE! You can see a ten year old reading a manga with a business man of no relation, in his fifties next to him reading the same title.
We here have seen comic books drop their foothold several times. The industry almost crashing more times than even the best fanboy would like to admit to knowing about. Comic readers are still somewhat shoved between perverts and reality show junkies on the pop culture scale.
It's probably because we, and I mean the American public and the general comic reading audience, think that comic books are just people in pervert suits and augmented breast running around never really doing anything, and being incredibly sexually frustrated.
Japanese comics have a beginning, middle and end. Even the titles that last decades, they still have an ending. Something that is truly lacking in most mainstream American comics, an ending. Which is the most damning thing about them.
The Japanese industry of comics is a sight to behold, where anyone can create a story that would make them live a good life. It's the fans that makes them do it. It's the people's buying dollar that makes the millions of copies fly off the shelves. Setting up deals of cartoons and everything else.
Wired has a several articles out there on Manga in Japan, America and the impacts in between.

Facebook said "Screw You" to a 1 billion dollar bid from Yahoo. From there it passed MySpace in functionality and has become a darling to all the users as well as the investors. The creator of Facebook has reportedly is to now be worth 1.5 billion dollars. Now the investors are hungry for some Facebook action, with Microsoft and Google in talks to purchase a large chunk of the company. Google which owns Orkut, is looking to get 5-10% of Facebook for 1.5 billion dollar, trying to make Facebook's value be somewhere around the lines of 15 billion dollars.
I know, I can hardly believe it myself, who comes up with these numbers? Do they pull them out of a hat or a just throw darts at a board? I can hardly believe that HickSpace is worth as much as it is, but Facebook being worth 15 billion dollars? C'mon… let's not kid ourselves here.

Apparently AT&T is posting all this wonderful profit and they lay the blame squarely on the iPhone's wonderful shoulders[I have AT&T service but am not taking any money, but I won't mind getting an iPhone for this post, really, even a 4 gig iPhone. Have you tried these things in the store, they are awesome. Even my 2 1/2 year old was in awe over this thing]. The shares rose 1.1% and everyone is happy.

The best online resource of nad shots on the interweb comes from Nad Shot. An online resource for nad shots, on the net? The devil you say!
Yes, truly, a resource for images of comic book characters getting hit in the "nads." I figure by now, the amount of stuff on the web is like the rule about porn, if you can think about it, it's probably up there right now.
Walt Disney screwing midgets while singing Van Halen(with David Lee Roth), there is a site that has that.
Nad Shots, a site dedicated to cataloging the instances that comic book characters have been hit in the crotch, well you're reading this entry now aren't you?

From Treehugger: the japanese have taken to adopting urban camouflage to protect themselves from crime.
“It is just easier for Japanese to hide,” Ms. Tsukioka said. “Making a scene would be too embarrassing.” She said her vending machine disguise was inspired by a trick used by the ancient ninja, who cloaked themselves in black blankets at night.

Someone at the YABS forum over at CBR wonders if now is a good time to become a scab Hollywood writer?
Now, if I wanted to pitch [for the next Superman movie], how would I go about this? I'd need an agent, I imagine....
And I don't think it's impossible since a guy named Alex Ford wrote a Superman screenplay back in 1998 with no prior credentials. He got an agent based on his screenplay and treatment and he actually got a meeting with Jon Peters.
Normally, I'd say lightning like that doesn't strike twice. But with the strike looming and indecision in the air, I think it might just strike twice.
Most people seem to think it's a bad idea.
Scabs are ignored into financial ruin. Don't be a scab.

There is a strange wish that there were cereal boxes out there on the market right now that his type of innovation and dementia. Cereal Killers,a coffin table book of pages after page of illustrations from mad people in the animation industry and every other industry. I'm still looking for this book to see who actually prints it and when it's suppose to come out[edit: it's going to be a forthcoming book, so we get to wait a while before we can all get giddy again]. I'd like to get this and place it out for people to read. Since most of these images are takes on everyone's favorite cereals from their childhood.
There are so far entries spoofing Honey Nut Cheerios, Smack, Cookie Crisp. And a few more. The idea that someone is making a book like this tells me that child like imagination is a still alive in adult and that, that gives hope that not everyone will act as if the world revolves around the next reality show.

Back before the internet was the place it is today(porno places and brochures for everyone and a little Web 2.0(whatever that means)) it was Usenet. A place, for… stuff.
The RIAA is now extending it reach beyond the people who have no clue that their children download songs, or the people who hack into their wireless networks to download. Beyond those people in P2P network apps, they are no after the oldest networking system, Usenet.
Usenet is subscription based in use and is mainly a site for news articles. The possibility for piracy is about likely as any misuse of files.
Usenet is a private source of news articles and newsgroups. That also allows for encrypted tunneling for viewing your news and other articles. Which is pretty much why the RIAA is suing Usenet. They don't know what is happening and they scares them. There could be the phantom boogey man while traded his Russian accent for a Usenet account and Napster shirt.

I can't really talk, my mobile, which I have admit, I don't like talking on, will give me the phantom shakes while I'm walking. I check the damn thing and there aren't any calls. Just the time staring back at me.

Yeah Maxim screws it up again. They released the list of the Top Movie Badasses. They have one done right, Lee Marvin from Point Blank. The next three are about as badassed as a case full of My Little Pony dolls(actions figures for you guys out there in won't live up to the truth).
They missed out on any and all mention of Clint Eastwood's characters from his westerns or Any Which Way movies.
A small sample from Eastwood being a badass.
Here is the list.

Have I mentioned that the Japanese are awesome? Yoshitoku Company has created a 1/4 replica of traditional Samurai warrior's armor made to look like what Vader would have worn. It's is beyond awesome and super-awesome.
At 1/4th of the size over time this would be one of those things your children find in the attic after your death and wonder why they went to a state school on student loans.

This is a double celebrity thing, one is about Brad Pitt and George Clooney spoofing on Larry Craig and then other is about who women marry.
But these are celebrities. The married ones. So it gets the entry.
It doesn't' really make a difference, but you have to wonder over the whole of the world, how many spouses look like their fathers? You start to wonder about that after a while. Dogs look like their owners too, and if you look like a dog and your spouse's father. You start to wonder why everyone looks like you.

If you get the Clap, you might become infertile or stupid Homer sperm. While the infertility would never effect the people who need to be sterile. It will effect you.
There are antibodies that are ready to make sure that you'd never have to worry about having Homer Simpson Sperm, but you have to get treated.
And above all else, quit screwing sheep. The neon green wool that some generations are growing is unnatural.

I'm not talking about what you're eating, I'm talking about the Virgin Group and that they are about 3 to four years from mass producing biofuels for commercial use. Of course the first thing that they are going to do is gas up a 747, without passengers of course, and fly the sucker using only biofuels.

With the Jena 6 still happening and from what we all thought was a decline in racial prejudice, it seems that things aren't changing. There are still some stupid MoFos out there giving the 'Land of the Free' a bad rep(yeah I know what's going on in the world and idiots in charge). But this is too far. First we get a guy who gets shitcanned because he tried to get his students to look at the bible not as holy book that could never be infallible(of fundamentally) but look at it academically. Now there is a Professor at Columbia who had a noose attached to his door handle.
Seriously folks, we are all on this shithole together. Live it up, love each other and makes sure you tip the bartender.

I'm calling this a geek roundup because there are a few things that really need to be called to attention as to their badassery and I'm to lazy to write several post. This means we get more bang for out imaginary dollar.
The first is about the Nissan Pivo2 concept car. The car that only the Japanese can construct. Instead of telling you how awesome it is, I'll show you this video of the pure awesomeness of the engineering feat.
Next up is the ever amazing world of sort of delete files. The Recycle Bin that is both Mac and PC friendly. It works off of the Bluetooth you may have in your computer. So once you delete something, it gets transfered over to your little bastard of a recycle bin that sits somewhere on your desk(most bluetooth device can work, on average, 30 feet from your original device(this includes your phone and crazy person headset)).

Unfortunately, it's in the concept design right now. So we're going to have to wait for it.

Someone created an exo-suit. How long before we get Nevermen running around the city?

Huge Grant, to those that don't like his movies, he was the guy who hired a hooker to give him a hummer while dating ELIZABETH HURLEY! For the rest of us, who happen to like his movies, he was the guy who got a hummer from a hooker who later appeared on Married With Children to seduce Al Bundy. And oh yeah, GRANT DID THIS WHILE DATING ELIZABETH HURLEY!!!!
Ok, since that is out if the way, Grant had been in a relationship with a woman for a while, they are now done. Just done, I don't know why, don't really care, but they are done. Now Grant is dating girls in college. He was at some gala, and then ditched the thing to be with a harem of college girls.

So Adobe has purchased a product called Buzzword. It's a word processor that suppose to rival GDocs. I'm a waiting for crack the preview so I can compare it to GDocs. Which has some really great deal of functionality. So if Buzzword, which I'm surprised it wasn't named BuzzWrd, has the functionality of GDocs, it's going to be fun to use.
