The Tricorder, the famous device that could tell you everything about yourself. Tell you what anything is made of is coming to reality. So far there are people in academia(where else would they be creating this device) creating a real life tricorder that will tell you everything.
OK, really it's going to focus more on sniffing out cancer. Which is still pretty cool.
