Something happened at the Byrne forums over Christmas.
Something that made a forum member post this:

You know it's getting bad when people have to resort to Photoshop.
It seems someone was taking chat transcripts and posting them elsewhere.
So, only one question remains... where were those transcripts being posted?

Jamie Hewlitt, artist of Tank Girl! and co-creator of the Gorillaz has a rare interview about him talking about his influences. His love of zombie movies, Anime, Chuck Jones's Daffy Duck and not letting his children watch Disney flicks.

The Tightlip Entertainment saga is a good ol' fashioned Internet sh*t storm that's fun to just sit back and watch.
You can watch Olney defend himself here.
Here's a thread about LitG's coverage of events.
And here's a thread at Gail Simone's forum discussing it.

The humping dog is a Japanese USB flash drive that once, plugged into the computer uses the power from the USB port to start humping your laptop.
There is a video of the Humping dog in action.
I want one.

Unlike our friend Namor who loses power once he's out of the water, the Little Mermaid just become nuts. She become so nuts that she spreads this insanity to her own dolls. Where once you make her talk in rapid succession, she'll call you a slut.
I know fetish people are going to be buying this instead of going to a Dominatrix.

The Scans_daily crew tries to figure out where the inspiration for this pose might have come from:

Millarworld ponders who should be in a modern League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Best choice:
David Brent!
Worst choice:
Rhett Butler (gone with the wind cad)

More thoughtful, adult discussion of feminine anatomy as depicted in comics books, courtesy the erudite crew at Newsrama, in a thread titled "Major Cleavage," this time discussing the other woman whose name starts with "S" and runs around mostly naked in the jungle - Shanna the She-Devil, as drawn by Frank Cho:
...it looks like someone painted some basketballs and glued them to Shanna's chest.
Not everyone is so impressed:
That woman would run five feet through the jungle before her [breasts] knocked her in the face hard enough to knock her out.
But he's generally considered to be a spoil-sport for the rest of the red-blooded crowd.

It's about what you'd expect.
Do we really need another buxom, scantily clad heroine running around in comics?I say "AND HOW!"
And apparently she is distinguishable from Marvel's Shanna, the She-Devil. Who knew?
Shallow bastard that I am, I like her better than Shanna, based on looks alone. CROSSOVER!
And in an industry already rocked by recent reports of Greg Land's "tracing":
That full-color cover art was swiped... from the side of someone's black Chevy van.

Hey! Did you hear? Civil War's been delayed again!
They're discussing it over at Millarworld.
Marvel said it wasn't McNiven's fault, but then went on about his strep throat. So now everyone thinks it's McNiven's fault.
I can't believe there are actually some peopel on the Newsarama forums hating on Marvel because of this. I hope they all get strep throat...
But strep throat has nothing to do with it, right?
Over at Newsarama:
That being said, isn't this the reason why, when people have deadlines, they work AHEAD of schedule? And secondly, does strep throat really lay someone up for 2-3 weeks? Really.
Down is up. Strep Throat is and isn't the cause of the delay! Make mine Marvel!

Probably everyone in the world except your friendly Lint Trap Contributor has seen this, but, just in case:
Click. We Dare you.
Uh, Cap? Keep the day job.
Apparently this was "Broadway Bares" AIDS benefit. Context doesn't help, does it?
